Latest Happenings...

Today Luke has kept all of his feedings down, with no regergitation...Yay! The last two have been from a bottle instead of his feeding tube (which they will keep in for a while). Sara is hoping to nurse for the first time this evening at the 10pm feeding if all goes well. They were also able to put Luke in regular clothes today and he has been able to regulate his own body temp fairly well. He is still in the incubator, but they have begun the process of weining him off of that. So in the world of Luke, all signs are pointing in the right direction! Praise God for little miracles!

Sara has done much better today. They haven't had to give her any meds through her I.V. today...though she has taken close to 15 pills. If they can regulate her Blood Pressure without having to give meds through her I.V. for 24 hours they will plan to release her. Knowing her, she's not going anywhere even if they do release her except to come home and sleep, then right back up to the NICU.

Tyler and Emma have been doing great. Thanks to Nana and Grammy for all the hard work they have put in this week. Tyler is having his 5th birthday party tomorrow. He'll have a blast, but I know it will be hard on Sara not being there.

I believe that is all for today, pray we can get some much needed rest tonight. Love you all, and appreciate your prayers!!

  1. Andy and Sara~I am so happy to hear the GREAT news! We have been praying for you all. It was so precious to show the boys the pictures of Luke from the blog. Ashton of course commented and giggled about his hat:) Isaac said..."Ooooh so tiny...does he have blood on him?" (oh the 5yr old boys) and Judah patted the computer screen saying "baabee" So sweet. We all love Luke so much already. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for this little but mighty man of God! I love you both and am honored to be your sister to you both and honored that I was able to be there the night he arrived! 4. Sara I know that, that power is so much more being stirred up in you. That power that was put into action to raise Christ from the dead. I thank God every time I think in remembrance of you.I am so excited to see to what depths, that well is being dug within you, from which the living water shall flow forth to bring healing and deliverance to others. God Bless you mighty Debra! As you go forth in victory out of this situation. Keep that two edged sword positioned to reel at every dart of the enemy.(To reel:: to behave in a violent disorderly manner)

May God Bless you my friend.

    Ephesians 1 v 18-23

18.I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19.and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20.which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21.far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
